FENCING is
Fun
Engaging
Novel
Challenging
Exciting

Fun, because having fun is the best way to learn and improve fitness and coordination. Engaging, because this is about strategy, physical coordination and awareness. Novel, because it is like no other sport. It's one of only five disciplines that has been in every Olympics and its roots go back to the Pharaohs. Challenging, because even after a lifetime of practice, there is always something to learn. Exciting, because you react in fractions of seconds. You have to act instinctively, stop thinking and start fencing. And that's the beauty of the sport.

My name is Rupert Davies-Cooke. I am the lead coach at UCL Fencing Club in Central London as well as teach at  The Lansdowne Fencing Club and Central London Fencing Club.

If you are looking for a fencing coach in London or would just like some advice on fencing, then send me a message and I will try to answer your questions.

I am a British Fencing Core Coach Developer, which means that I teach people who have never fenced how to teach a fencing taster course to young people. That means I teach the basics of fencing to scout leaders, council employees, the police force and teachers.
